Cannot access my account
Hi I'm sorry if this is not the read place for this thread.
Last week I felt like playing GW again, to find out I have forgotten my password. I have mailed the support team, but since younger me thought it was a good idea to not keep the serial key cards, and not having any screenshots because I also recently reinstalled my PC. I have no real evidence the support team can see it is my account. They have not replied in a week time, and with the reset password option not working anymore is there any other way to get acces to my account or should I sent another e-mail? I have also tried logging into my NCsoft account but have no clue of that password either. Thanks in advance. |

Firstly, [email protected] is broken. Any emails (either direct or via any system that uses it) sent to that address get redirected to the black hole in internetland. Apparently the place to go is now here.
Honestly, the chance of you recovering your account is low. Perhaps they can authenticate on the personal details input when you created the account. A character name may also help if you can remember any. In any case, there isn't really much we can do. Contact support via the link above and see what happens.

If you're communicating via zendesk you should be fine. (I use the terms 'apparently' and 'should' only because I haven't needed to contact support for several years. People have reported that their issues have been resolved effectively via the zendesk system.)

One more thing, your IGN is 'killer brammie'. I found it in your post history. Might be useful info if you hadn't already remembered it.

Yea, I remember a shit ton of actual in game information etc.
If there are going to be more people like me, my GW2 account is linked to my GW1 account. This makes recovering your account very easy. Me being a total dumbass and not securing my gw2 serial code properly I still have to go through the recovery process. If you do have your gw2 serial code all you gotta do is that change that password and you're set. |
